The Royal Sonesta Hotel, located on the world-famous Bourbon Street in the center of the French Quarter in New Orleans, La., exudes European elegance and Southern charm. Guests are only one-half block from the Aquarium of the Americas and Harrah's Casino, and a short drive from the Audubon Zoo, Six Flags New Orleans and the Living Science Museum. The seven-story Royal Sonesta Hotel is built in traditional French Quarter style, with gabled windows, French doors and wrought-iron balconies from which guests can watch the action on Bourbon Street, especially during Mardi Gras. Visitors can dine on French and Creole cuisine at Begue's, then have a cocktail at Le Booze bar, which opens onto Bourbon Street for a quintessential New Orleans experience. DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Airport:
Take I-10 East and follow the signs to the New Orleans Business District and continue to follow I-10 East toward Slidell.
The hotel may be reached from I-10 East by exiting on the Orleans Avenue/ Vieux Carre exit.
Orleans Ave. becomes Basin St. as it curves toward the French Quarter.
Turn left from Basin St. onto Conti St.
Follow Conti St. into the French Quarter.
