The 5 Continents Bed and Breakfast is perfectly situated for a memorable visit to New Orleans. We are just a short walk to the world famous French Quarter and have easy access to Interstate 10, the International Airport, Bus and Amtrak Station. We offer complimentary off street parking for our guests.
The house is an 1880's Greek Revival Mansion located on the historic Esplanade. Guesta are accommodated upstairs in our two room suites in the main house or in our cottage that is in the garden area off the courtyard. Each accomodation is named for a different Continent - Asia, Europe, Eurasia, and North America, and are decorated with art work from the continent that represent. The furnishings are an eclectic collection of antiques and reproduction pieces. We feature a full hot gourmet breakfast, Dorothy Prentice Aromatherapy Spa amenities 300 count sheets, Turkish cotton spa towels, color cable TV, irons, hairdryers, and wireless high-speed internet access.

Suite A -
This is our premier accommodation. It is a two-ro
om suite with more than 600 sq feet of luxury, two fireplaces,
oriental rugs and a private balcony overlooking the historic Es
planade. The king size bed is bedecked in more than 20 yard of
decorator fabric and the sitting room features an antique Frenc
h Parlor mirror, a crystal chandelier and a collection of Europ
ean oils and lithographs. The bathroom has an antique clawfoot
bathtub outfitted with a shower.
Suite B -
A trib
ute to the ancient kingdoms of the orient, this two-room suite
features a queen size bed, fireplace, Tien Sien Oriental rugs a
nd oriental art adorn the walls. The sitting room has access to
the rear gallery of the house that over looks the courtyard an
d a full size sleeper sofa. The bathroom features an antique cl
awfoot bathtub outfitted with a shower and an antique water clo
set.
The North American Cottage -
The North Amer
ican Cottage is located in the garden area just off the courtya
rd. It was designed to accomodate our physically challenged gue
st or those that just want a private retreat. The queen size be
d is piled high with pillows and the art of James J. Audubon an
d other North American artists adorn the walls. The bathroom fe
atures two person walk-in multi-head shower. The cottage has a
mini-bar with a refrigerator, microwave, and one-cup gourmet po
d coffee maker.
Suite C -
The Eurasian Suite is
a two-room suite with two separate bedrooms that share a bathro
om. The African bedroom has an Antique 1880's Belgium hand-card
bedroom suite with a Plantation bed (larger than a full, small
er than a queen) and the Middle East bedroom has a queen size b
ed. The bathroom features a clawfoot bathtub outfitted with a s
hower and the suite has access to the rear gallery of the house
overlooking the courtyard.
